Squamish may just be British Columbia’s most diverse gem. From the mountain ranges, the seaside port town, and the meadows that bedeck the local estuary and the Squamish river, it pretty much is a west coaster’s dream. Fortunately this means that there is a tremendous amount of options when it comes to choosing your Squamish elopement or wedding spot. For those of you who seek an activity based elopement, look no further for Squamish has everything from kite surfing to horse back riding. Not sure where to start? Start with the Squamish Chief, the Squamish Estuary, Murrin Park, or the gorgeous Sunwolf wedding venue.
Cassie and Adam have one heck of a story, and after all that’s happened they decided that having a secret elopement with just their best friends to witness in the place they called home was exactly the way they wanted to make it official. So they drove up the Squamish Valley Road to Cassie’s best friend’s ranch and decided to pack up the truck, do an off road drive out to the river’s edge and then finish off the day hanging out in the paddock with the rescue horses and some tequila.
Witnessing this day was beyond words. The friendship, the utter devotion to each other, the laughter, the tequila shots, the bumpy truck ride to the river… These are the days that make my heart sing.
Capturing and documenting up the Squamish and along the Sea to Sky will always be my favorite way to spend my time. Thinking of getting married in Squamish? Holler at me! I’ve got everything you need from venue suggestions, portrait locations, to the best recommended local breweries, I’ve even got some gorgeous airbnbs should you need it. Ready to get married?
