Laura and Shawn had originally planned a helicopter ride to a mountain in Whistler for their ceremony, but the weather had a different idea and we were told that plans had to change. The ceremony was then switched to a quaint little doc right by Nita Lodge, and L + S had the entire family attend. We then trekked down to gorgeous little spot along the river right as the sun finally started to appear. From there it was celebratory drinks, a family dinner, and a quiet ending to busy day. Despite the weather, change of plans, and spontaneous ceremony change, L + S were incredibly calm and just excited to get married!
Whistler is probably one of my top spots to get married at! From helicopter elopements, to intimate forest weddings, to snowboarding proposals, it seriously has something for everyone. If you’re looking for that adventure based, out in the wilderness kind of vibe, Whistler or Squamish is your top place to be! I can’t help but rave about these places I get to call home, so if you need a wilderness explorer/adventure seeking/ elopement planning photographer, hit me up!
