Victoria BC Wedding – Hannah + Steve

Victoria happens to be one of my all time favourite spots in British Columbia, so when Hannah and Steve reached out to me about their Victoria BC wedding photography right by the ocean it was an immediate YES. A family member of theirs happened to have bought a stunning piece of property and Hannah and Steve new it was the most perfect spot for them to celebrate and get married surrounded only by their closest people. Intimate weddings will always hold a spot in my heart and this day was no exception. Hannah wanted a simple and relaxed day, so everything from the baby breath florals to the small wedding party was full of intentional attention. Photographing this Victoria BC wedding was an absolute joy, I cannot wait for more weddings on Vancouver Island.

We started the day with Hannah getting ready with her two bridesmaids in one of the mansion’s bedrooms. Hannah and Steve chose not to do a first look so the next step was to head to the ceremony. The ceremony spot was incredible. Baby’s breath lined the aisle and was the centre piece at the altar. The intimate gathering was right on the edge of the property, overlooking the ocean on this beautiful August day. As fate would have it there was even an iconic old school sail boat parked right in the bay in full view of the ceremony. Hannah and Steve said their I dos and celebrated the rest of the day by eating lunch with their closest people, speeches given by their family, and at the end jetting off to their hotel getaway for their honeymoon in Victoria.

Victoria is one of the most beautiful spots to get married in, or honestly just to live in! From the cozy city, little oceanside towns, and tall dry golden grass fields under a Kansas blue sky…. I mean, c’mon, are you sold yet? The weddings there are intimate, timeless, and full of natural beauty. If you’re looking for some Victoria BC Wedding photography, I’ll be there in a heart beat.
