Modern Wedding Bridals in Victoria BC. On digital and Film.
Lately I’ve been on Vancouver Island for Weddings a lot lately. It always makes me giddy when I realize that this is my job, and that my version of “work” is traveling to my favorite spots to create with some pretty incredible humans. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel all around BC and even internationally for this job, but man oh man do I always seem to come back to the diversity that Vancouver Island brings. Victoria will always be the sweetest spot to visit, and of course, to photograph weddings in.

Kate and Eric were gracious enough to model these bridals in the city and later by the ocean. This shoot was all about color, grace, and simplicity. With Victoria’s historical city architecture and stunning seaside, well, it was a no brainer for this shoot. We started right outside the Bay Center Mall if you can believe it, and then we traveled over to Sashima Park where we had the most beautiful flower instalment done by Paloma Florals. The dress was designed by the most creative team at fern and moon! We only used one dress this entire shoot yet had two very distinct looks. The attachable flowy skirt made for the perfect pairing with the windy seaside and the sleek bodycon dress was perfect for the city.
This shoot was a chance to push the boundaries of traditional wedding art. Nothing about this was to feel staged or formal, instead we focused entirely on the flow of the couple and the intentional details of the shoot. This is where the true heart of my photography lies, in the realness of people. I want to capture what is true to you. I come to your wedding day prepared to document honestly and intentionally, I come ready to create and be creative with you. It’s why my entire experience is personalized to each couple I work with. I genuinely, honestly, full heartedly care about what we create together.
